Action (Information)
This item provides and overview of the fiscal year 2005 budget
for higher education approved by the Illinois General Assembly
on July 24, 2004. The General Assembly's budget includes $2.2
billion in state general funds for higher education operations
and grants. The General Assembly delayed action on new capital
spending for fiscal year 2005, although the budget did include
re-appropriations totaling $820.5 million for previously authorized
