Higher Education Cooperation Act, Fiscal Year 2006 Grant Allocations (Action)
Due to some additional information involving the Higher Education Cooperation Act Fiscal Year 2006 Grant Allocations (Agenda Item #11), this item will be removed from the August 23, 2005, meeting agenda of the Illinois Board of Higher Education.

This item will be brought before the Board at a telephonic meeting of the Illinois Board of Higher Education to be called by the Chairman at a later date. Requisite notice of this telephonic meeting will be provided to all interested parties.

Setting a Context for Fiscal Year 2007 Budget Development (Information)
This report provides a review of long-range trends in higher education funding in Illinois; an examination of how recent budgetary actions have affected individual campuses, districts and agency programs; and a comparison of trends in Illinois to trends in surrounding states and the nation. The report then turns to the state's current fiscal context, summarizing recent revenue and expenditure trends. Next the report reviews fiscal year 2006 Board priorities and raises a number of statewide higher education budget issues. Finally, the report includes an appendix showing the processes and timelines for the fiscal year 2007 budget development. (Presentation by Mike Baumgartner)
