Fiscal Year 2006 Higher Education Budget Recommendations: Operations, Grants, and Capital Improvements (Action)
Fiscal year 2006 higher education budget recommendations for operations, grants, and capital improvements will be mailed separately the week of January 24, 2005.

Item 5a will present the fiscal year 2006 budget recommendations for higher education operations and grants. Item 5b will present the fiscal year 2006 budget recommendations for higher education capital improvements. (Presentation by Dan Layzell)

New Units of Instruction at Public Community Colleges (Action)
This item recommends approval of eight new associate degree programs at the following community colleges: Joliet Junior College; College of Lake County; Sauk Valley College; Illinois Central College; Parkland College; College of Lake County; John A. Logan College; Moraine Valley Community College; and Southeastern Illinois College. (Presentation by Gary Alexander)
   
8. New Operating and/or Degree-Granting Authority for Independent Institutions (Action)
This item recommends approval of operating and/or degree-granting authority to the following institutions: American InterContinental University Online and University of St. Francis. (Presentation by Gary Alexander)
   
9. New Units of Instruction, Public Service and Research at Public Universities (Action)
This item recommends approval of the following public universities to establish new degree programs: Southern Illinois University Carbondale and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. (Presentation by Gary Alexander)
