| On Wednesday, March 29, 2006 seven projects under the NCLB Improving Teacher Quality State Grant program participated in an annual showcase of professional development projects. The showcase was held in the Rotunda of the Illinois State Capitol. These projects along with those administered under the Illinois State Board of Education's Mathematics and Science program met to present a summary of their research based professional development activities aimed at improving teacher quality. The work of these projects support state and national efforts to improve teacher quality. | |
