Lincoln Christian University announced it will end academic operations on October 11, 2023, and will officially stop offering for-credit courses and degrees on May 31, 2024. Lincoln Christian University is located in Lincoln, Illinois and has been in operation since 1944. The institution is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), The Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP), and the Association of Theological Schools (ATS).

A portion of Lincoln Christian Seminary will move to Ozark Christian College (OCC) and pending approvals by accrediting bodies, OCC will continue Lincoln Christian Seminary’s Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Bible and Theology, Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and the Master of Arts in Ministry; OCC will also offer to teach out Lincoln Christian University’s undergraduate programs. Lincoln Christian University is also currently working to secure teach-out agreements with other post-secondary institution partners for those programs not moving to OCC. The details of all teach-out agreements will be posted to the Lincoln Christian University website as they become available.

Students can find their federal student loan information by accessing the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) at https://nsldsfap.ed.gov/login. You can access the site using your Federal Student Aid (FSA) User ID and qualifying personal identification information.
IMPORTANT NOTE - Federal Loan Discharge: Loan discharge is the removal of your obligation to repay your federal student loan under certain circumstances.
If you were unable to complete your program because your school closed, you may be eligible for closed school discharge of your federal student loans. Visit closed school discharge to evaluate the eligibility requirements for closed school discharge.
Students who attended a school who believe they were defrauded may be eligible for borrower defense loan discharge of federal student loans. Please visit borrower-defense for assistance.
