Program Overview
The Independent Colleges Capital Investment Grant Program has been created to provide private, not-for-profit colleges and universities in Illinois with financial assistance for capital projects as defined by applicable State of Illinois statutes and program rules. This multi-year grant program will distribute funds to eligible institutions using a distribution formula and will be issued in two parts. The formula will provide each qualifying institution 1) a base grant based on the Fall 2017 student enrollment numbers as reported to IBHE and 2) an FTE grant based on the Fall 2022 student enrollment numbers as reported to IBHE.
Each institution must complete and submit all application materials to be considered for grant program. Funding under this program is only to be used for eligible capital projects as defined by program rules and statutes. Grant funds will be distributed as proceeds from Build Illinois Bond sales become available. General program information and application information and forms are listed below.
